Privacy Policy
Garage Door Experts LLC is committed to providing its customers with quality products and workmanship. In the event that any trouble with an installation or product arises, Garage Door Experts LLC will resolve the issue in a timely manner. Garage Door Experts LLC is fully insured with General Liability Insurance.
Any quote may be withdrawn by Garage Door Experts LLC if not accepted within (15) days.
Should it become necessary to place your account for collection, the customer who authorized the quote shall be responsible for all costs of collection, including but not limited to reasonable attorney fees involved in the collection of any outstanding amounts.
By requesting a technician to be dispatched to your home or business, you agree to pay the current service fee quoted at the time of your request. If the service is not completed, for any reason, a minimum on-site charge will be assessed.
Product Selection
By accepting our quote, whether by signature, email, or verbally, the customer confirms that he/she has seen a sample of the product and color and texture of the product. NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS WILL BE GIVEN FOR “WRONG COLOR” CHOICES.
Please consider environmental conditions when selecting product type and material. Damp environments, salt air, along with sun and shade conditions can have an impact on materials, especially wood. For instance, if you live on the ocean and the garage door never sees any sun, a wooden door is probably not the best choice of material.
Wasted Trip
Wasted trips due to customer’s failure to adequately clean the garage or have the garage area properly prepared to accept installation at the agreed-upon installation date will result in a $100 wasted trip fee, which will be added to the final balance due and will be due at the time of the installation.
Garage Door Installations
Garage door installations will be performed in the most efficient manner possible and according to industry standard practices as governed by the IDA. It is the customer’s responsibility to make sure that the driveway is clear of vehicles, to allow our installation truck to back up to the garage. It is also the responsibility of the customer to make sure that the garage is clear of vehicles and/or materials that will hinder the installation. The installer requires a working space equal to the space underneath the door when it is in the open position. clear of vehicles and/or materials that will hinder the installation. If the work cannot be performed on the scheduled installation date, a wasted trip fee will be incurred. When a customer pays Garage Door Experts LLC for disposal of the existing door, it is Garage Door Experts LLC responsibility to discard any materials that were remaining as a result of the installation.
No carpentry work, electrical wiring, lumber or painting is included unless specifically indicated at the time of sale.
We are not responsible for any damage that may be incurred to any electrical wiring, plumbing, or other such items that have been previously installed under sheetrock or plaster that is not visible to our technicians.
Carefully consider your environmental conditions prior to selecting the type of material for your new garage door. Salt air and/or moist environments can cause garage door components to break down more quickly than typical.(CUSTOMER ARE REQUIRED TO PAY FULL BALANCE UPON INSTALLATION OR IT MAY OCCUR A DAILY EXTRA CHARGES )
Garage Door Opener Installation
It is the responsibility of the customer to provide a grounded outlet in the correct location for the garage opener installation. Manufacturer or labor warranty will not apply for any units that are plugged into an extension cord or plug adapter. Manufacturer warranty does not cover electrical disturbances such as power surges and/or lightning strikes. Photocell or Safety Sensors misalignment is not covered under Garage Door Experts LLC labor warranty. Garage door openers that do not meet current UL-325 standards will not be reconnected to the new door.
Garage Door Experts LLC cannot guarantee that your built-in vehicle remote will operate the garage door opener system. For more information, please visit homelink.com.
Garage door openers not equipped with safety eyes cannot be serviced by Garage Door Experts LLC The customer claims all liability and responsibility for reconnecting an opener that is not UL-325 compliant.
Warranty
Please refer to the manufacturer warranty for the specific model that you have purchased.
Garage Door Experts LLC provided a one year labor warranty on the installation of any garage door and/or garage door opener, unless specifically stated otherwise at the time of sale. Warranty period begins on the date of installation. We do not warranty any garage door opener that is reconnected to the new door.
Existing Conditions
Any conditions that exist prior to the installation of the new door will remain after the new installation, such as but not limited to the following: If the floor is broken, out of level or sloped, the new door will not seal tightly to the floor.
If there is a drainage issue, a new door will not stop water from coming under the bottom of the door.
During windy rain/hurricane storms, water may come through underneath the door even if the floor is level.
If the garage door opening and/or floor are out of level, out of square, or out of plumb, the garage door may appear crooked in the opening. The door must be installed level, and cannot be set to the existing opening/floor.
Arched or 45 angle corners on the garage door opening can damage the bottom rubber, perimeter weather strip, and can also rub the paint off of the face of the garage door.
Cancellation Policy
I understand the minimum deposit I will deliver to Garage Door Experts LLC. for a new door purchase or big repair is 50% of the Total Invoice. After 3 business days, any cancellations by the Customer will result in 25% of the Total Invoice Restocking and Cancellation fee.
Garage Door Experts LLC. requires a 50% deposit on all new door purchases. Outside of the 3 Day Right to Cancel Law, 100% of the deposit (50% of the total) will be nonrefundable. Any special-order door orders will not be placed until the 72 hour rule has passed. You may waive the “Three Day Right to Cancel” law and A1 will immediately place your order to ensure a quicker installation date. Waiving your 3 Day Right to Cancel in no way impacts any written warranties associated with the purchase and installation of your new garage door.
Forfeiture of Deposit
Customer agrees to accept delivery of product within 10-days of receipt of product. If customer does not accept delivery within the specified time frame, storage charges may apply. If you do not accept delivery and subsequently do not pay remaining balance of your special order product after 30-days, your deposit will be forfeited and the product may be resold.
Garage Door Experts LLC. and Customer agree that quantifying losses arising from Customer’s failure to accept delivery of the product is inherently difficult insofar as it may impact Our ability to carry additional inventory not related to this Contract and resell the custom made product at market rate, and further stipulate that the agreed upon sum is not a penalty, but rather a reasonable measure of damages, based upon the industry and given the nature of the losses that may result from Customer’s failure to accept delivery.
This agreement is for the protection of both you, our customer, and Garage Door Experts LLC. We want our customers to fully understand any recommendations that we offer. Every customer has the right to accept or refuse all or part of our recommendation and/or receive a second opinion.
I understand that upon the completion of the authorized work, that I will pay Garage Door Experts LLC. services immediately the Total Invoice amount.
I understand that warranties only cover parts that fail through normal wear and tear. Collisions, Acts of God, negligence, intentional damage or failure to maintenance and care for the garage door can result in damage that will not be covered.
I understand the Garage Door Experts LLC. Service Warranty is with the Purchasing Customer only and any warranty is not automatically transferable.
I understand and agree that the Customer shall pay a $50.00 charge for each checks returned from the bank unpaid for any reason. If such occurs, Garage Door Experts LLC shall be entitled to demand and be paid in the form of a cashier’s check or money order. It is understood that in the event of default by the customer, under the terms of this agreement, the customer will be responsible for any and all collection fees or court costs along with reasonable attorney’s fees. Should litigation or arbitration be required to settle any claim arising from this agreement, the prevailing party in any dispute shall be awarded all their reasonable attorney fees and costs. Costs shall include without limitation, expert witness fees, fees paid to investigators, arbitration, or court costs.
I understand that Garage Door Experts LLC. is not responsible for any future damages to my door that may result from not following the technician’s recommendations.
I understand that the technician is evaluating the garage door and opener at the time of inspection and a passing grade is no guarantee of the length of time a part will continue to be in proper working order.
I acknowledge and consent to a mandatory minimum service fee of $49 will be charged by Garage Door Experts LLC. for all service calls to align safety eyes, adjust force and travel settings on operators, and reprogram remotes/keypads.
I fully understand the explanation of work received/recommended and assume the responsibility to pay my invoice in full at the completion of work. I also understand that my door will not work properly unless I repair all the problems the technician has recommended.
It has been explained to me and I understand that my operator may have been strained or worn due to an unbalanced overhead garage door. The technician has informed me that there is no way to detect the longevity of my operator due to the possible strain. I understand that there is no guarantee or warranty on a strained/worn operator. I understand that the door and motor are separate entities and work on one does not guarantee the other will function correctly.
SMS Communication Consent and Opt-Out Policy
Garage Door Experts (referred to as “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to keeping our customers informed and up-to-date on our latest offers, promotions, service updates, and more through SMS messaging as part of our Application-to-Person (A2P) 10-digit long code (10DLC) communication strategy.
Consent to Receive SMS Messages:
By providing your mobile phone number to Garage Door Experts, you consent to receive automated marketing and informational SMS messages from us. Messages may include, but are not limited to, appointment confirmations, service updates, promotional offers, and reminders. The frequency of messages varies.
You acknowledge that consent to receive SMS messages is not required as a condition of purchasing any goods or services from Garage Door Experts. Standard message and data rates may apply to any messages received.
How to Opt-Out:
If you wish to withdraw your consent and no longer receive SMS messages from Garage Door Experts, you can opt-out at any time by replying “STOP” to any message you receive from us. Upon receiving your request, we will send you one final message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us.
Please be aware that opting out of SMS messages may affect your use of certain services or the timely receipt of important information regarding services you have requested or are currently receiving from Garage Door Experts.
Opting Back In:
If you decide that you would like to start receiving SMS messages from us again after opting out, you may opt back in at any time by sending “START” to the same number you previously received our SMS messages from. Upon opting back in, you will start receiving SMS messages from us again, according to your preferences and as described in this policy.
Changes to This Policy:
Garage Door Experts reserves the right to modify this SMS Communication Consent and Opt-Out Policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised policy on our website. Your continued consent to receive SMS messages will indicate your acceptance of those changes.
