Garage Door Experts LLC
Garage Door Experts LLC is committed to providing high-quality products and professional workmanship. Any issues related to installation or supplied products will be addressed in a timely manner. Garage Door Experts LLC is fully insured with General Liability Insurance.
1. Estimates, Quotes & Payments
- All estimates and quotes are valid for fifteen (15) days, unless otherwise stated in writing.
- Quotes not accepted within this period may be withdrawn or revised without notice.
- By requesting service, the customer agrees to pay the service fee quoted at the time of scheduling.
- If service cannot be completed for any reason, a minimum on-site service fee will still apply.
- Full payment is due upon completion of the job, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Late payments may be subject to daily late charges.
- Any account sent to collections will be responsible for all collection costs, attorney fees, court fees, and legal expenses incurred.
2. Deposits, Cancellations & Special Orders
- A fifty percent (50%) deposit is required for all new garage doors and major repair orders.
- Orders canceled after three (3) business days are subject to a twenty-five percent (25%) restocking and cancellation fee.
- Special-order doors are not placed until the three-day cancellation period expires, unless the customer waives this right in writing.
Deposit Forfeiture & Storage
- Products must be accepted within ten (10) days of delivery notification.
- After thirty (30) days of non-delivery and unpaid balance, the deposit may be forfeited and products may be resold.
- Storage fees may apply.
3. Product Selection & Approval
- Acceptance of a quote (written, email, or verbal) confirms the customer has reviewed and approved the selected product, including style, color, finish, texture, and specifications.
- No refunds or credits will be issued due to dissatisfaction with color, material, or appearance.
- Customers are responsible for selecting products appropriate for their environment, including humidity, salt exposure, sunlight, and temperature conditions.
- Wooden doors and moisture-sensitive materials are not recommended for coastal or high-humidity areas without proper exposure and maintenance.
4. Site Readiness & Wasted Trip Policy
A $100 wasted trip fee will be charged if installation or service cannot proceed due to:
- Cluttered or unprepared garage
- Inaccessible work area
- Failure to provide driveway or garage access
This fee will be added to the final balance.
5. Garage Door Installation
- All installations are performed in accordance with IDA industry standards.
- The customer must ensure the garage and driveway are clear and accessible.
- Installers require a working space equal to the full height of the open garage door.
- If site conditions prevent installation on the scheduled date, the wasted trip fee will apply.
- Old doors and materials will be removed only if disposal is included in the quote.
- Carpentry, framing, electrical, drywall, painting, or structural modifications are not included unless expressly stated in writing.
- Garage Door Experts LLC is not responsible for damage to hidden wiring, plumbing, or structural components.
6. Garage Door Opener Installation
- Customer must provide a properly grounded electrical outlet in the correct location.
- Warranty does not apply to systems connected via extension cords or plug adapters.
- Manufacturer warranties do not cover damage caused by power surges or lightning.
- Misaligned safety sensors are not covered under labor warranty.
- Openers not compliant with UL-325 safety standards will not be reconnected.
- Vehicle remote compatibility is not guaranteed. Customers should verify compatibility at HomeLink.com.
- Non-compliant openers are the sole responsibility of the customer.
7. Warranty
- Manufacturer warranties vary by product and model. Refer to the manufacturer’s documentation.
- Garage Door Experts LLC provides a one (1) year labor warranty on new installations unless otherwise stated in writing.
- Warranty begins on the installation date.
- Previously used, customer-supplied, or reconnected openers are not covered.
- Warranty applies only to normal wear and tear and excludes:
- Accidents or misuse
- Negligence or lack of maintenance
- Weather events or Acts of God
- Warranties are non-transferable and apply only to the original purchaser.
8. Pre-Existing Conditions
The customer is responsible for all pre-existing structural conditions, including but not limited to:
- Uneven or damaged floors
- Drainage issues
- Sloped openings or angled corners
Garage doors may appear uneven due to structural conditions. Weatherstripping or paint wear caused by misalignment or structural issues is not covered.
9. Customer Responsibilities & Fees
- Full payment is required upon job completion.
- A $50 returned check fee applies. After a returned check, only cashier’s check or money order will be accepted.
- Legal fees, attorney costs, and arbitration or court expenses are the responsibility of the party in default.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Garage Door Experts LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to property damage, loss of use, or loss of income.
Total liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount paid by the customer for the specific service or product provided.
11. Indemnification
Customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Garage Door Experts LLC from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from misuse, unauthorized modifications, failure to follow recommendations, or third-party alterations.
12. Permits, HOA & Code Compliance
Unless expressly stated in writing, obtaining permits, HOA approvals, or inspections is the responsibility of the customer.
Garage Door Experts LLC is not responsible for delays, fines, or failures due to permit or approval issues.
13. Force Majeure
Garage Door Experts LLC shall not be liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond its control, including but not limited to weather events, hurricanes, power outages, supply chain disruptions, or Acts of God.
14. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute shall first be attempted to be resolved through good faith negotiation.
If unresolved, disputes shall be settled through binding arbitration in the State of Florida.
15. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida.
16. Media & Documentation
Customer authorizes Garage Door Experts LLC to take photos and videos of the job site before, during, and after service for documentation, warranty, and marketing purposes, unless otherwise requested in writing.
17. Additional Notices
- Customers are responsible for understanding the technician’s findings and recommendations.
- A passing inspection does not guarantee long-term performance of parts or motors.
- A minimum service fee of $49 applies for basic adjustments such as sensor alignment or remote programming.
- If only part of the technician’s recommendations are followed, Garage Door Experts LLC is not liable for resulting performance issues.
- Openers previously strained due to door imbalance carry no guarantee for continued operation.
